Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2011 Lexus GS 350?
The NHTSA database shows 11 recalls affecting the GS 350 model family, including eight fuel pump notices, one fuel tank/fuel-pump assembly notice, one brake pedal load-sensing switch notice, and one steering VGRS ECU programming notice. These recalls address risks such as fuel-pump failure and engine stalling, an off-centered steering wheel after restart, and a brake pedal switch that may cause unintended braking without brake-light activation. Nalley Lexus Smyrna can verify whether your specific 2011 Lexus GS 350 VIN is affected and provide free remedy service — schedule service today.
How do I check if my 2011 Lexus GS 350 has an open recall?
You can confirm open recalls by checking your VIN at NHTSA.gov or by contacting Nalley Lexus Smyrna for a free VIN recall check. Provide your VIN to our service team or visit the NHTSA recall lookup and then schedule appointment with our factory-trained technicians for any required repairs. We also offer service financing and will advise on any manufacturer notices and next steps at no charge.
How much does a 2011 Lexus GS 350 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are performed free of charge when covered by the recall and completed at a certified Lexus dealer. Nalley Lexus Smyrna uses OEM parts and factory-trained technicians to complete NHTSA recall repairs at no cost under the manufacturer's program. If additional non‑recall repairs are needed, we will provide an estimate and offer service financing; check our current service specials.
Can I get my 2011 Lexus GS 350 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to guarantee OEM parts and factory-trained procedures and to ensure the recall is properly closed in manufacturer records. Nalley Lexus Smyrna is a certified Lexus franchise dealer and provides the correct parts, software updates, and warranty coding required by the manufacturer. If you need immediate help, contact our service team through the service portal at Service Portal and schedule service—we also have service financing available.
How long does a 2011 Lexus GS 350 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall: many fuel-pump or fuel-tank assembly replacements typically take a few hours, while ECU updates or pedal-assembly replacements may take a few hours to a day. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule appointment, and we prioritize fast, safe completion for recall work. We recommend scheduling in advance and checking our service specials and available loaner or shuttle options when you book.
Does an open recall affect my 2011 Lexus GS 350's trade-in or resale value?
Yes—unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in value and discourage private buyers because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and VIN history before purchase. Resolving recalls at Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects vehicle value and provides documentation that repairs were completed by a certified Lexus dealer; you can also get a trade appraisal at sell-your-car-online.htm. We recommend completing recall repairs before listing or trading the vehicle to maximize value and buyer confidence.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2011 Lexus GS 350 recall?
Some recalls affect safety systems that could cause a vehicle to fail inspection depending on local regulations; unresolved safety recalls may also impact insurance claims in a crash. Because the NHTSA lists recalls for fuel system, steering, and brake components affecting the GS 350 family, you should have Nalley Lexus Smyrna confirm and remedy any open recall before inspection. To book a VIN check and avoid inspection delays, schedule service with our certified technicians; we offer service financing to help with other maintenance needs.
