Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2013 Lexus IS 350 C?
The NHTSA has issued six recalls affecting the 2013 Lexus IS 350 C: five air bag inflator recalls and one fuel system recall. The air bag recalls relate to previously replaced or original frontal air bag inflators that may rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin, a risk of serious injury or death; the fuel system recall involves hardened diaphragms in the fuel pulsation dampers that can crack and leak fuel, increasing fire risk. Nalley Lexus Smyrna is certified to perform all manufacturer recall repairs free of charge using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians; schedule service to confirm and resolve any open recall.
How do I check if my 2013 Lexus IS 350 C has an open recall?
You can check your vehicle's recall status by entering the VIN at NHTSA.gov or by contacting Nalley Lexus Smyrna; our service team will check for free. Call Lexus customer service or visit the NHTSA website for authoritative records, or bring your VIN to our service desk and we will verify open recalls and advise next steps. To get an appointment after verification, schedule service online — we also list current service specials and offer service financing to help you get repairs now and pay later.
How much does a 2013 Lexus IS 350 C recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for safety-related issues on the 2013 Lexus IS 350 C are performed free of charge at authorized dealerships. There is no cost to the owner for the recall parts or labor when the repair is covered by the manufacturer recall; Nalley Lexus Smyrna will complete the repair using OEM parts and Lexus-approved procedures. If other unrelated maintenance is needed during the visit, ask about our service specials and financing options so you can address everything conveniently.
Can I get my 2013 Lexus IS 350 C recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs should be completed at an authorized Lexus dealer because factory-trained technicians and OEM parts are required for safe, compliant repairs. Independent shops may not have the specific replacement inflators, improved fuel delivery pipes, proprietary diagnostic tools, or the official parts ordering channels that Lexus dealerships maintain for recall campaigns. Nalley Lexus Smyrna is a certified Lexus franchise dealer serving Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta and the greater Atlanta area — schedule appointment with our recall team to ensure the work is done properly and documented.
How long does a 2013 Lexus IS 350 C recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall: many air bag inflator or fuel delivery pipe replacements can be completed in a few hours, but availability of replacement parts can affect scheduling. When you arrive, Nalley Lexus Smyrna will give a time estimate based on parts availability and the specific remedy; we prioritize safety repairs and will offer a same-day or next-day appointment when possible. To reserve a convenient time, schedule service online; ask our service advisors about loaner options, shuttle service, and service financing if needed.
Does an open recall affect my 2013 Lexus IS 350 C's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact trade-in offers and private sale value because buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and expect safety issues to be fixed. The 2013 Lexus IS 350 C will retain more value and be more marketable after recalls are completed and documented, and Nalley Lexus Smyrna can provide service records that prove the repairs were done at a franchise dealer. If you plan to sell or trade your vehicle, get the recall addressed now and visit our appraisal page to begin a trade evaluation at sell-your-car-online.htm.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2013 Lexus IS 350 C recall?
Some states may fail vehicles on inspections if required safety equipment is nonfunctional due to an open recall, so unresolved safety recalls can affect inspection outcomes in certain jurisdictions. Because the air bag inflator and fuel system recalls for the 2013 Lexus IS 350 C affect critical safety systems, it is important to have them remedied promptly at Nalley Lexus Smyrna to avoid inspection or registration issues. Contact our service department via schedule appointment to confirm recall completion and receive documentation for inspection or insurance purposes.
