What the service covers on the 2014 Lexus GX 460The oil change service for the 2014 Lexus GX 460 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the manufacturer-specified oil. A new oil filter is installed to help remove contaminants from the circulating oil. The oil life monitor is reset, and underhood fluid levels are checked as part of the visit.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris. That is why oil service is based on mileage and time rather than appearance alone. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Scheduling service helps keep the maintenance history current and documents the completed oil and filter replacement. Drivers can schedule service with Nalley Lexus Smyrna.
