What the service covers on the 2015 Lexus IS 250 CThe oil-change service for the 2015 Lexus IS 250 C begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants as oil circulates through the engine. The oil life monitor is reset, and the underhood fluid levels are checked as part of the visit.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris. That change happens with mileage and time, not only when oil looks dirty. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, oil that appears dark or low on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. These signs indicate that service should be scheduled. Booking an appointment replaces the oil and filter with the specified materials and logs the visit in the vehicle’s history.
