2017 Lexus ES 350 Oil Filter in Smyrna, GA

For the 2017 Lexus ES 350, the manufacturer's published schedule calls for oil filter replacement every 10,000 miles. Replacing the filter with the oil prevents accumulated debris from carrying forward into the next service interval. The filter's condition and the vehicle's service history can also help guide maintenance decisions.

• Filter replacement follows the published 10,000-mile interval.
• The filter holds debris carried by the engine oil.
• A new filter is installed alongside the oil service.

The filter is matched to the engine actually fitted to the 2017 Lexus ES 350. Sealing material is renewed where the engine uses a drain plug gasket or washer, and the filter seal is checked after operation. The filter is replaced alongside the oil rather than carried into another oil change.

• Filter matched to the engine's specification.
• New drain plug gasket or washer where applicable.
• Leak inspection at the filter seal after running the engine.

A loaded filter does not necessarily stop oil flow, which can make the issue easy to overlook. Instead, the engine continues receiving oil without the filter removing the debris it carries. An oil-pressure warning, a noisier-than-usual engine, or oil that darkens quickly after a change can be reasons to arrange an inspection.

• The bypass valve can allow unfiltered oil to circulate.
• Oil may darken quickly after an oil change.
• An oil-pressure warning or unusual engine noise warrants attention.

The 2017 Lexus ES 350 has a V6 engine with 3,456 cc of displacement, so the correct filter is selected for that engine. A filter should not be chosen as a generic part without confirming engine fitment. Nalley Lexus Smyrna can match the filter to the engine actually fitted during the service.

• Engine: 3.5 liters.
• Displacement: 3,456 cc.
• Configuration: six-cylinder V6.

For this 2017 Lexus ES 350, the published maintenance schedule calls for filter replacement every 10,000 miles. Carrying a loaded filter into another oil change allows debris to remain in the filtration system and may open the bypass valve. The vehicle's service history and an inspection can help determine the appropriate next service.

• Filter replacement is scheduled every 10,000 miles.
• The filter captures debris carried by engine oil.
• A loaded filter may circulate oil without filtering it.
