What the service covers on the 2017 Lexus GS 450hThe oil change service for the 2017 Lexus GS 450h begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling it with the grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants, while the oil life monitor is reset for the next maintenance interval. The visit also includes a check of the underhood fluid levels.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even when it does not look dirty. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the previous service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. The manufacturer recommends changing the engine oil and replacing the oil filter every 10,000 miles for the 2017 Lexus GS 450h. Schedule service to have the oil and filter replaced and the visit logged against the vehicle's history.
