Full synthetic oil provides the most stable protection and is the typical recommendation for modern Lexus V8 engines.

Conventional oil is mineral-based; blends add some synthetic base stock; full synthetic uses engineered base oils for improved high-temp stability and cold-flow. For a 2017 Lexus LS 460, check the owners manual for the Lexus-approved specification, and confirm the shop installs oil that meets that spec. If youd like guidance, our advisors in Smyrna can review the manual with you.

• Full synthetic resists breakdown under heat and stop-and-go driving
• Always match the Lexus-approved spec listed in your manual

Follow the maintenance interval published in the 2017 Lexus LS 460 owners manual for your driving conditions.

Lexus specifies oil-change intervals based on normal vs. severe service (frequent short trips, extreme temperatures, or heavy traffic). Check your manual for the exact mileage/time guidance that applies to your driving. If your usage is mostly short urban trips in greater Atlanta, consider the severe-service guidance.

• Use the owners manual schedule that matches your driving
• Severe service often requires more frequent oil changes
• Log mileage and dates to stay on track

Fill to the capacity specified in the 2017 Lexus LS 460 owners manual and confirm on the dipstick after service.

Oil capacity varies by engine and filter configuration. The safest approach is to follow the manuals capacity guidance, add oil gradually, and verify the final level on the dipstick once the engine has been run and allowed to rest. Our team will record the quantity used on your repair order.

• Use the owners manual capacity specification
• Account for filter replacement when measuring
• Confirm final level on the dipstick after the engine rests
