What the service covers on the 2018 Lexus RC 350The oil-change service begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help remove contaminants from the oil as it circulates. The oil-life monitor is reset, and underhood fluid levels are checked during the visit.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even before it appears dirty. That is why the manufacturer’s interval for the 2018 Lexus RC 350 is based on mileage and time rather than appearance. Signs that service may be due include an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, oil that looks dark or low on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Drivers can schedule service with Nalley Lexus Smyrna.
