What the service covers on the 2018 Lexus RX 350The oil-change service for the 2018 Lexus RX 350 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling it with the grade specified for the engine. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants, while the oil life monitor is reset so the vehicle can track the next maintenance interval. The visit also includes a check of the underhood fluid levels.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even before it appears dirty. That is why the maintenance schedule for the 2018 Lexus RX 350 is based on mileage and time rather than appearance. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. When one of these signs appears, drivers can schedule service with Nalley Lexus Smyrna.
