Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Lexus GS 350?
The NHTSA has issued 11 recalls affecting the 2019 Lexus GS 350, primarily involving the fuel pump (8 recalls), plus separate notices for the brake pedal load sensing switch, steering VGRS ECU programming, and a related fuel-tank/fuel-pump assembly issue. These recalls were posted by the NHTSA and Toyota/Lexus between 2012 and 2020; the most widespread safety concern is fuel pump failure, which can cause the engine to stall while driving. Nalley Lexus Smyrna recommends owners address these issues immediately with a certified recall repair at our Smyrna, GA service center; recall repairs are performed free of charge by factory-trained technicians.
How do I check if my 2019 Lexus GS 350 has an open recall?
Check for open recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Nalley Lexus Smyrna and we will check it for free. If you prefer, you can schedule service and our service team will verify recalls, review required repairs, and explain next steps at no cost to you. We use OEM diagnostic tools and factory-trained technicians to confirm NHTSA recall status accurately, and we can also check manufacturer campaign numbers like 20TA02 / 20LA01 where applicable.
How much does a 2019 Lexus GS 350 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge when performed at an authorized Lexus franchise dealership like Nalley Lexus Smyrna. Because recall remedies are required by the manufacturer, parts and labor for the remedy are provided at no cost under the recall program; if interim notices were issued you may be contacted when the permanent remedy is available. For non-recall maintenance or upgrades, ask about our current service specials and available service financing to help you pay over time.
Can I get my 2019 Lexus GS 350 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed free by an authorized Lexus dealer to ensure OEM parts and factory programming are used and that the remedy meets manufacturer specifications. Independent shops cannot always access Lexus software updates, VIN-specific parts allocation, or manufacturer-provided remedies; for safety and warranty protection bring your vehicle to Nalley Lexus Smyrna for certified recall service. If you need help now, schedule service and our Lexus-trained technicians will complete the recall using OEM parts and document the repair per NHTSA requirements.
How long does a 2019 Lexus GS 350 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall: simple programming updates or sensor replacements may take under an hour, while fuel pump or fuel-tank assembly replacements can take several hours to a day. At Nalley Lexus Smyrna we provide an upfront estimate of the expected turnaround and will notify you if parts require ordering or if a loaner vehicle is available. You can schedule appointment online to reserve a convenient service slot; check our service specials for deals and ask about service financing if you need flexible payment options.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Lexus GS 350's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can reduce buyer confidence and may negatively affect trade-in or resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA recall status before purchase. Having recalls completed at a certified Lexus dealer like Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects resale value by ensuring proper documentation and OEM repairs; you can start a valuation at our trade-in appraisal page after service. Resolving recalls also helps during vehicle inspections and may impact insurance claims or coverage in some circumstances, so address open recalls promptly to maintain value and safety.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Lexus GS 350 recall?
State inspection rules vary, but some safety-related recalls—like brake or steering defects—can lead to failure of an inspection if the defect affects required safety systems. For peace of mind, bring your vehicle to Nalley Lexus Smyrna and we will confirm recall status and complete any necessary recall repairs free of charge so your vehicle meets inspection safety standards. To book a convenient time, schedule service online; our team serves Smyrna, Roswell, Alpharetta and the greater Atlanta area for prompt recall repair.
