What the service covers on the 2019 Lexus IS 300The oil change service for the 2019 Lexus IS 300 begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants as oil circulates through the engine. The visit also includes resetting the oil life monitor and checking the underhood fluid levels.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even before it looks dirty. That is why the manufacturer’s schedule for the 2019 Lexus IS 300 calls for changing the engine oil and replacing the oil filter every 10,000 miles. The service may be due when the oil-change reminder appears, mileage has passed since the last visit, the dipstick looks dark or low, or the engine sounds louder or ticks at startup. Owners can schedule service for the 2019 Lexus IS 300 at Nalley Lexus Smyrna.
