Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Lexus LS 500?
The NHTSA has issued 12 recalls affecting the 2019 Lexus LS 500, covering tire, fuel pump, brake booster pump, and fuel tank issues. These recalls include one tire recall for certain run-flat tires with a possible tread separation issue and multiple fuel-pump and fuel-tank recalls that can cause engine stall. Two recalls concern the brake booster pump that can deactivate vehicle stability control and reduce braking assist. All affected repairs are covered by the manufacturer and must be performed by a certified Lexus dealer; Nalley Lexus Smyrna can confirm your vehicle's status and perform repairs free of charge.
How do I check if my 2019 Lexus LS 500 has an open recall?
You can check using your VIN at NHTSA.gov or call Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987 to verify open recalls. Nalley Lexus Smyrna can also look up your VIN and confirm open campaigns at no cost—we'll check your VIN during a visit or when you schedule service. For authoritative records, the NHTSA database is the primary source; we reference NHTSA recall data when diagnosing and scheduling recall repairs.
How much does a 2019 Lexus LS 500 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for recalled safety issues are free of charge to the owner. At Nalley Lexus Smyrna, recall repairs use OEM parts and factory-trained technicians and there is no fee for the recall remedy. If additional non-recall work is requested, we will provide an estimate and offer financing or pre-approval options through our financing application.
Can I get my 2019 Lexus LS 500 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts, warranty compliance, and proper repair records; a certified Lexus dealer is the safest choice. Nalley Lexus Smyrna is a certified Lexus franchise dealer with factory-trained technicians and OEM diagnostic tools to complete recall work correctly and document the repair with the manufacturer. Independent shops may perform non-recall repairs, but only a franchise dealer can apply the manufacturer’s official remedy and close the NHTSA recall record in many cases.
How long does a 2019 Lexus LS 500 recall repair take?
Typical recall repairs can range from a same-day tire replacement to a few hours for parts swaps; some fuel-pump or fuel-tank remedies may require longer depending on parts availability. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule service; interim notices were used for some fuel-pump campaigns while remedy parts were sourced. We offer service specials (service specials) and loaner/ride options when available to keep you moving during the repair.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Lexus LS 500's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved safety recall can lower trade-in value and may deter private buyers or dealers, so completing recall repairs protects resale and trade-in value. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will document completed recall repairs and provide records to protect your vehicle's value—use our trade-in appraisal service after repairs for best results. Some lenders and insurers also review safety recalls; resolving recalls maintains eligibility and avoids potential issues with claims or inspections.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Lexus LS 500 recall?
While recalls are safety repairs, state inspection rules vary; some inspections may flag safety equipment issues related to recalls and prompt required repair. Resolving recalls at Nalley Lexus Smyrna ensures your vehicle meets manufacturer safety standards and helps prevent inspection or insurance complications. If you have inspection concerns, contact Nalley Lexus Smyrna or schedule appointment so our team can verify open recalls and complete any required repairs.
