Frequently Asked Questions

12 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Lexus LS 500h?
The NHTSA has issued 4 recalls affecting the 2019 Lexus LS 500h: three recall actions related to the fuel pump and one related to the brake booster pump. The fuel pump recalls note a potential failure that can cause engine stall while driving; corrective action is replacement of the improved fuel pump assembly. The brake booster pump recall warns of possible loss of braking assist or deactivation of vehicle stability control; dealers will inspect and replace the booster pump if needed. These recalls are documented in NHTSA records and include manufacturer recall IDs such as 20TA02 / 20LA01 for fuel pump campaigns and K2F/KLF for the brake booster pump.
How do I check if my 2019 Lexus LS 500h has an open recall?
You can check your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring the vehicle to Nalley Lexus Smyrna for a free VIN recall check. If you prefer dealer help, call Nalley Lexus Smyrna or use our schedule service page and our staff will verify recall status at no charge. We also provide online service resources via our service portal and list current offers under service specials. Remember: NHTSA and manufacturer records are the authoritative sources for open recall data.
How much does a 2019 Lexus LS 500h recall repair cost?
Recall repairs for the 2019 Lexus LS 500h are performed at no charge to the owner under the manufacturer recall program. Nalley Lexus Smyrna uses OEM parts and factory-trained technicians to complete recall repairs free of charge. If you need additional non-recall services, ask about our current service specials or financing options to pay over time.
Can I get my 2019 Lexus LS 500h recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to ensure the manufacturer’s remedy, OEM parts, and warranty compliance; we recommend a certified Lexus dealer like Nalley Lexus Smyrna. Independent shops cannot provide the factory recall remedy or access manufacturer-supplied replacement parts and repair instructions used to meet NHTSA requirements. For safety and warranty protection, schedule with our factory-trained technicians using our schedule service tool.
How long does a 2019 Lexus LS 500h recall repair take?
Most recall repairs for the 2019 Lexus LS 500h take a few hours, though duration depends on parts availability and inspection results. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule appointment; if parts are delayed we will work quickly to get you back on the road. We recommend checking our service specials for additional conveniences and ask our service advisors about loaner options and shuttle service. We also offer service financing so you can get the work done now and pay later.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Lexus LS 500h's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can lower resale and trade-in appeal because many buyers and dealers verify recall status before purchase. Having recalls addressed at Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects value and demonstrates documented, factory-performed repairs — you can start a trade appraisal at our sell your car page.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Lexus LS 500h recall?
Open recalls are safety issues and can lead to inspection or registration complications in some states if the condition affects required systems. Specifically, the brake booster pump recall impacts electronic stability and braking assist systems, which are directly related to safety inspections; the fuel pump recalls affect engine reliability. Schedule a free VIN check or schedule service at Nalley Lexus Smyrna to resolve open recalls and avoid inspection problems.
