8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2020 Lexus LC 500?
The NHTSA records show 16 related recalls affecting the 2020 Lexus LC 500, primarily involving the fuel pump, fuel tank, and the vehicle stability control (brake booster pump). These recalls include 11 fuel pump recalls (some addressing high-pressure pump damage and potential fuel leaks), 4 fuel tank-related recalls, and 1 stability control recall that may deactivate vehicle stability control and reduce brake assist. Nalley Lexus Smyrna recommends owners confirm open recalls by VIN and schedule service for any open remedy—recall repairs are free and performed with OEM parts and factory-trained technicians.
How do I check if my 2020 Lexus LC 500 has an open recall?
Check your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your VIN to Nalley Lexus Smyrna and we will check for free. You can also call Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987 or contact our service team to verify recall status and schedule appointment. We use OEM diagnostic tools and factory-trained technicians to confirm any open campaigns and advise next steps for your safety.
How much does a 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for the 2020 Lexus LC 500 are free of charge. Nalley Lexus Smyrna performs recall repairs at no cost under the manufacturer program using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians. Can I get my 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed by an authorized dealer to ensure OEM parts and proper remedy tracking; Nalley Lexus Smyrna is your local certified Lexus dealer for recall work. Independent shops cannot perform manufacturer warranty recall remedies that require OEM replacement parts and factory procedures; a certified franchise dealer documents, performs, and completes the official remedy at no cost. For safety and compliance—especially for issues that can cause engine stall or fuel leaks—bring your vehicle to our Smyrna, GA service center where factory-trained technicians handle the complete repair process.
How long does a 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall repair take?
Repair times vary by recall; many fuel pump or high-pressure pump replacements typically take a few hours, but plan for same-day or next-day service depending on parts availability. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will confirm estimated turnaround when you schedule service; we use OEM parts and manufacturer procedures to return your vehicle to safe operating condition. If remedy parts are temporarily unavailable, we will provide interim guidance and notify you immediately when parts arrive—our priority is safety and a prompt resolution.
Does an open recall affect my 2020 Lexus LC 500's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can lower resale or trade-in value because dealers and private buyers often check NHTSA records and VIN status before purchase. Having recall work completed at Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects vehicle value, documents proper repairs with OEM parts, and removes buyer concerns about safety-related issues such as fuel leaks or engine stall risks. When you are ready, visit our trade-in appraisal page at sell-your-car-online.htm and discuss how completed recall repairs strengthen your vehicle’s marketability.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2020 Lexus LC 500 recall?
Some safety-related recalls—especially those affecting braking or stability—can lead to inspection failures depending on local regulations; unresolved recall repairs may be a factor in safety checks. Nalley Lexus Smyrna recommends addressing recalls promptly to avoid inspection or insurance complications and to ensure full compliance with safety standards. If you’re concerned about inspection status, schedule appointment and our team will verify open recalls and complete the free manufacturer remedy as needed.
