Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2021 Lexus LC 500?
The NHTSA lists 16 recalls affecting the 2021 Lexus LC 500, mainly for fuel pump, fuel tank, and stability control components. Most entries relate to fuel pump failures that can cause engine stall; one safety action covers a brake booster pump that may deactivate stability control and reduce braking assist. All recall repairs are performed free by Lexus dealers; contact Nalley Lexus Smyrna to confirm your vehicle status or to schedule service.
How do I check if my 2021 Lexus LC 500 has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on NHTSA.gov to see open recalls for the 2021 Lexus LC 500; this is the authoritative source for recall listings. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will also check your VIN for free when you bring the vehicle to our service center or when you schedule appointment. We recommend checking both NHTSA and your dealer record because recall parts availability and remedy notices may be updated over time.
How much does a 2021 Lexus LC 500 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for the 2021 Lexus LC 500 are free of charge to owners under Lexus/Toyota recall programs. Nalley Lexus Smyrna performs recall repairs at no cost using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians; if additional non-recall repairs are needed, we can discuss options and financing. Ask about current service specials and our service financing to help cover non-warranty work if required.
Can I get my 2021 Lexus LC 500 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be performed free by an authorized manufacturer dealer to guarantee OEM parts and documented completion; Nalley Lexus Smyrna is the certified Lexus franchise to perform these remedies. An independent shop cannot provide the free manufacturer remedy; only a Lexus dealer can apply the manufacturer-provided parts and register the repair correctly with the manufacturer and NHTSA. If you need a quick appointment, schedule service with Nalley Lexus Smyrna and ask about loaner options and service financing so you can get repairs now and pay later.
How long does a 2021 Lexus LC 500 recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall and parts availability but many fuel pump or fuel tank replacements are completed in a few hours to a day; brake booster pump inspections may be quicker. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule service and can often prioritize recall repairs for faster completion. We recommend scheduling early — if remedy parts are temporarily limited, our team will hold your appointment and notify you when parts arrive.
Does an open recall affect my 2021 Lexus LC 500's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in offers and buyer confidence because dealers and private buyers often check NHTSA recall status before purchase. Completing recall repairs at Nalley Lexus Smyrna removes the open item from the vehicle history, protecting resale value and making trade-in processing smoother; you can start a valuation at our trade-in page. Addressing recalls promptly also avoids potential insurance or inspection complications down the road.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2021 Lexus LC 500 recall?
Open safety recalls can lead to inspection or registration complications in some states if they affect emissions or safety-critical systems; the 2021 Lexus LC 500 recalls include safety-related items like braking assist and fuel system defects. Getting recalls resolved at Nalley Lexus Smyrna ensures your vehicle meets manufacturer safety standards and helps avoid inspection or insurance issues. To confirm how a specific recall might affect Georgia inspection rules, contact our service team or schedule service for a free VIN check.
