8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2021 Lexus LS 500?
The NHTSA lists multiple recalls affecting the 2021 Lexus LS 500, including tire, fuel pump, brake booster pump, and fuel tank issues. Components affected: Tire (run-flat sidewall reinforcement issue), Fuel Pump (multiple campaigns related to pump failure and engine stall), Brake Booster Pump (possible loss of stability control and braking assist), and Fuel Tank-related fuel pump expansions. Consequences: Issues can reduce vehicle handling, cause engine stall, or deactivate stability control, increasing crash risk. How do I check if my 2021 Lexus LS 500 has an open recall?
You can check your VIN on NHTSA.gov or contact Lexus customer service to verify open recalls for your vehicle. Does an open recall affect my 2021 Lexus LS 500's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact trade-in and resale value because buyers and dealers often check NHTSA records before purchase. Resolving recalls at Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects resale value and provides documentation that the 2021 Lexus LS 500 has been repaired by a certified dealership. To start the process and protect value, visit our trade-in appraisal page at sell your car online or schedule service to complete recall work.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2021 Lexus LS 500 recall?
Open recalls can lead to inspection or registration complications in some states if the recall affects safety-critical systems, so addressing recalls promptly is important.
