2022 Lexus GX 460 Oil SpecificationsThe 2022 Lexus GX 460 uses a 4.6-liter V8 engine with 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. Its drivetrain is four-wheel drive, and its transmission is a six-speed automatic. The manufacturer’s published maintenance schedule calls for engine oil replacement every 10,000 miles and oil filter replacement every 10,000 miles. This schedule gives owners a clear mileage point for planning routine service rather than waiting for oil to look dirty. The service visit includes draining and refilling the engine oil with the grade the engine specifies, installing a new oil filter, resetting the oil-life monitor, and checking underhood fluid levels. Oil loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris over time, so appearance alone is not a reliable maintenance guide. Signs such as an oil-change reminder, low or dark oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder start-up sound should prompt attention. What’s Included in a 2022 Lexus GX 460 Oil ChangeAn oil change for the 2022 Lexus GX 460 begins with draining the used engine oil. The technician then refills the engine with the grade it specifies and installs a new oil filter. After the replacement, the oil-life monitor is reset and underhood fluid levels are checked. These steps help ensure the visit is recorded against the vehicle’s history and align with the manufacturer’s 10,000-mile engine oil and oil filter interval.
