Follow the Lexus maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual for the 2022 Lexus LC 500 Convertible.

Intervals depend on driving conditions and inspection findings. Urban traffic, construction zones, and dusty roads can load the filter faster. Our technicians check restriction and condition during service and recommend replacement only when warranted.

• Follow Lexus maintenance guidance for your LC 500 Convertible
• Adjust sooner for dust, debris, or frequent short trips
• We inspect and document filter condition at each visit

Use the Lexus cabin filter interval in the 2022 Lexus LC 500 Convertible owner’s manual as your primary guide.

Pollen, humidity, and stop‑and‑go traffic can shorten cabin filter life and lead to reduced airflow or odors. We check the HVAC filter during service and advise replacement based on debris load and airflow.

• Owner’s manual interval is the baseline
• Replace sooner if airflow weakens or odors persist
• Inspection included during scheduled service

The 2022 Lexus LC 500 Convertible’s engine air filter sits inside a sealed airbox in the engine bay, ahead of the intake tube.

The airbox is designed to route clean air to the 5.0L V8 while minimizing intake noise and water intrusion. The cabin air filter, by contrast, is typically located behind the glove box within the HVAC housing.

• Engine filter: airbox within the engine bay
• Cabin filter: generally behind the glove box
• Proper sealing prevents debris bypass

The engine air filter protects the 5.0L V8’s intake, while the cabin air filter cleans air entering the passenger HVAC system.

The engine filter safeguards combustion by trapping dust and sand before they reach cylinders and sensors. The cabin filter targets pollen and fine particles to maintain interior air quality and HVAC performance.

• Engine: performance and engine protection
• Cabin: passenger comfort and HVAC health
• Different media and locations, separate service items

Common signs include reduced power, lower fuel economy, or rough idle (engine) and weak HVAC airflow or musty odors (cabin).

On the LC 500 Convertible’s V8, a restricted engine filter can dull throttle response and increase intake noise. Inside the cabin, a loaded filter can cause hazy windows and strain the blower motor. If you notice these symptoms, schedule a quick inspection.

• Engine: sluggish acceleration, mpg drop, uneven idle
• Cabin: weaker vents, odors, film on glass
• Visual debris or discoloration on the filter media

Yes—you can often DIY the engine filter, while the cabin filter may require trim removal; our dealership adds inspections and OEM-spec parts.

Many owners can access the engine airbox with basic tools. Dealer service at Nalley Lexus Smyrna includes intake housing and MAF visual checks, correct fitment, and proper sealing to preserve performance and warranty compliance for parts.

• DIY-friendly engine filter; cabin may be tighter access
• Dealer verifies intake seals and sensor condition
• OEM-spec filter media for correct airflow
