What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2023 Lexus ES 300h?
The NHTSA lists 5 recalls affecting the 2023 Lexus ES 300h: three for the forward collision/pre-collision system, one for the brake booster pump, and one for the engine casting. The forward collision/pre-collision system recalls note that the Pre-Collision System (PCS) can unexpectedly apply the brakes when the radar misidentifies a steel plate or joint in the roadway, increasing crash risk; dealers will replace certain PCS components free of charge. The brake booster pump recall reports possible failure that can deactivate stability control and reduce braking assist; dealers will inspect and replace the pump if needed, free of charge. The engine recall concerns porosity in engine castings that can cause coolant leaks, overheating, stalls, or engine damage; dealers will inspect and replace the engine block as needed, free of charge. All items are documented in NHTSA records.

Can I get my 2023 Lexus ES 300h recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs should be completed at a certified franchise dealer like Nalley Lexus Smyrna to guarantee free, compliant repairs with OEM parts and factory procedures. Nalley Lexus Smyrna uses Lexus diagnostic systems, manufacturer training, and factory-sourced components to complete recall repairs correctly and safely.
How long does a 2023 Lexus ES 300h recall repair take?
Repair time varies by recall: most inspections and component replacements take from one to a few hours, while engine replacement can take longer and may require parts ordering. For the Forward Collision Avoidance PCS component replacements, many dealers complete the job in less than a day; brake booster pump inspections are typically quick; engine replacement may require scheduling and parts availability. To get a specific estimate and to schedule appointment, contact Nalley Lexus Smyrna — we also offer service financing to help you get necessary work done now and pay later.
Does an open recall affect my 2023 Lexus ES 300h's trade-in or resale value?
Yes — unresolved recalls can reduce trade-in and resale value because buyers and dealers check NHTSA records and VIN history before purchase. Having all recalls completed at a certified dealer like Nalley Lexus Smyrna preserves value and removes buyer objections; we can provide documentation showing manufacturer-performed repairs.
