8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2023 Lexus LC 500?
The NHTSA has issued 16 recalls affecting the 2023 Lexus LC 500, primarily for fuel pump failures, fuel tank issues, and a stability control brake booster pump defect. These recalls note that a failing fuel pump can cause an engine stall, a cracked high-pressure fuel pump cover can leak fuel and raise fire risk, and a failing brake booster pump can deactivate stability control and reduce braking assist. Information is sourced from NHTSA records; Nalley Lexus Smyrna can confirm your vehicle's status and perform any required repairs at no cost.
How do I check if my 2023 Lexus LC 500 has an open recall?
You can check open recalls by entering your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring your VIN to Nalley Lexus Smyrna and we will check it for free. If you prefer, call our service department or schedule service and we will verify recall status, explain the remedy, and book your appointment. We use OEM diagnostic tools and factory-trained technicians to ensure accurate recall verification and safe repairs.
How much does a 2023 Lexus LC 500 recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs for the 2023 Lexus LC 500 are free of charge to owners when performed at an authorized Lexus dealer like Nalley Lexus Smyrna. Free remedies include replacement of fuel pump assemblies, high-pressure fuel pumps, fuel tank components, or inspection and replacement of the brake booster pump as required by the recall notices. If you need additional paid maintenance or optional services, ask about our current service specials and service financing options to pay over time.
Can I get my 2023 Lexus LC 500 recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by an authorized dealer to guarantee OEM parts, proper factory procedures, and that the manufacturer warranty and recall remedy requirements are met. Nalley Lexus Smyrna is a certified Lexus franchise with factory-trained technicians and OEM parts—this ensures the recall remedy is done correctly and preserved under Lexus records. Independent shops may not have the required OEM parts or manufacturer authorization to perform recall remedies and document them with the manufacturer.
How long does a 2023 Lexus LC 500 recall repair take?
Most recall repairs for the 2023 Lexus LC 500 can be completed in a few hours, but times vary by the specific remedy and parts availability. Nalley Lexus Smyrna will confirm expected turnaround when you schedule service; if parts are temporarily unavailable we will notify you and arrange the earliest appointment. We offer loaner options and comfortable customer amenities to make the visit convenient while factory-trained techs complete the free repair.
Does an open recall affect my 2023 Lexus LC 500's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively impact trade-in and resale value because many buyers and dealers check NHTSA records before purchase. Resolving recalls at Nalley Lexus Smyrna protects resale value and gives buyers confidence that manufacturer-recorded remedies were completed with OEM parts by certified technicians. When you are ready, visit our trade-in appraisal page and ensure recalls are cleared for the best offer.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2023 Lexus LC 500 recall?
In many states, safety-related recalls can affect inspections; an unresolved recall that compromises emissions or safety systems could lead to inspection issues. Nalley Lexus Smyrna recommends addressing recalls promptly to avoid inspection or insurance complications and to maintain vehicle safety. Schedule an inspection or schedule appointment with our service team and ask about service financing if you need additional maintenance.
