2024 Lexus ES Air Filter in Smyrna, GA | Nalley Lexus Smyrna

The 2024 Lexus ES engine air filter sits in a sealed airbox within the engine bay on the intake side.

This airbox is designed for quick access while keeping unfiltered air out of the intake tract. During service in Smyrna, GA, our technicians open the housing, inspect the old element, and confirm the airbox seals properly to prevent dust bypass. Proper placement ensures clean airflow to the 2.5L inline-4 hybrid powertrain for consistent performance.

• Sealed airbox in engine compartment
• Accessed by releasing airbox clips or screws
• Seal inspection helps prevent unmetered air leaks

The 2024 Lexus ES cabin air filter is typically located behind the glove box in the HVAC intake area.

Access generally involves lowering or removing the glove box to reach the filter tray. In Smyrna service appointments, we check the filter media and surrounding seals to maintain proper airflow and reduce dust, pollen, and odors circulating through the climate-control system.

• Behind glove box: filter tray in HVAC intake
• Quick inspection during routine service
• Helps maintain strong A/C and heater airflow

The engine air filter cleans air for combustion, while the cabin air filter cleans air for passengers and the HVAC system.

On the 2024 Lexus ES, the engine filter protects the 2.5L inline-4 by blocking dust before it reaches the intake. The cabin filter screens pollen and road particulates before air enters the interior. Servicing both at Nalley Lexus Smyrna helps uphold performance and in-cabin comfort across Smyrna and greater Atlanta.

• Engine filter: protects intake/MAF and combustion
• Cabin filter: improves interior air quality
• Both are inspected and replaced as needed

Common signs include reduced power, lower fuel economy, rough idle (engine filter), and weak airflow or musty odors (cabin filter).

If you notice sluggish acceleration or the A/C not moving much air in your 2024 Lexus ES, the filters may be saturated with dust or pollen. In Smyrna, GA, our team can quickly check both filters, verify the airbox seal, and advise on replacement timing.

• Engine: hesitation, decreased MPG, uneven idle
• Cabin: diminished airflow, odor, increased fogging
• Visual check reveals dark, debris-loaded media

Yes, many owners can DIY the engine filter, while dealer service adds OEM-spec parts and intake/MAF checks.

Restricted airflow can alter measured intake values and demand more throttle for the same power in a 2024 Lexus ES. During service in Smyrna, we assess the filter media, check the airbox seal, and inspect the MAF visually to help restore efficient breathing.

• Reduced airflow can lower MPG
• Intake restriction may dull throttle response
• Inspection helps confirm if replacement is needed

Yes, the 2024 Lexus ES uses two filters: one for the engine intake and one for the cabin HVAC.

Servicing both protects the 2.5L inline-4’s intake path and keeps interior air clean for daily commuting around Smyrna and Atlanta. Our team can check each filter during a single appointment and advise on condition.

• Engine filter in sealed airbox
• Cabin filter behind glove box
• Single visit covers both inspections

Our air filter service for the 2024 Lexus ES focuses on fit, seal, and airflow. First, we inspect the engine air filter and housing, checking the airbox cover, fasteners, and gasket surfaces before replacing the filter with an OEM-spec part as needed. Next, we inspect and replace the cabin air filter, accessing the tray behind the glove box and confirming the filter seats flat to prevent bypass. We then perform a visual check of the intake path and mass airflow (MAF) sensor for signs of contamination or leaks that could affect drivability. If you prefer to plan ahead, you can schedule service online and review current service specials prior to your visit for potential savings and timing convenience.
