What the service covers on the 2024 ISThe oil-change service begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the oil grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to help capture contaminants as oil circulates through the engine. The oil-life monitor is reset so the 2024 Lexus IS can accurately track the next service reminder, and underhood fluid levels are checked during the visit.
Engine oil can lose its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris long before it appears dirty. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, oil that looks dark or low on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note during startup. Booking schedule service helps ensure the oil and filter are replaced and the visit is logged against the vehicle’s history.
