What the service covers on the 2025 Lexus NXThe oil change for the 2025 Lexus NX begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the grade specified by the manufacturer. A new oil filter is installed to support clean oil circulation, while the oil-life monitor is reset so the vehicle can track the next maintenance point. The visit also includes a check of the underhood fluid levels.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris, even when it does not look especially dirty. That is why the manufacturer’s published schedule calls for changing the engine oil and replacing the oil filter every 5,000 miles. Signs the service may be due include an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup.
