What the service covers on the 2026 Lexus ISAn oil change for the 2026 Lexus IS begins with draining the used engine oil and refilling it with the grade and capacity specified by the manufacturer. The visit also includes a new oil filter, a reset of the oil life monitor, and a check of the underhood fluid levels. These steps support routine engine care without relying on how clean the oil appears.
Engine oil gradually loses its additive package and its ability to carry heat and debris. That is why oil service is guided by mileage and time rather than appearance alone. Drivers may notice an oil-change reminder light, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Nalley Lexus Smyrna invites owners to schedule service when these signs appear.
